Hai-O Enterprise Bhd recorded a slightly higher pre-tax profit of RM13.27 million for the fourth quarter ended April 30, 2012 compared to the RM12.392 million seen in the same period last year.
Revenue rose to RM69.436 million from the RM58.26 million recorded previously, said the company in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
It said the increase in revenue was mainly contributed by the multi-level marketing and wholesale divisions.
"The financial performance of the retail division was relatively flat in the fourth quarter, affected by the
slow-down in general market sentiment.
"It is despite heavy advertising and promotion for the year-end members' sales promotion," it added.
On prospects, the board of directors believe that the group will remain positive in the next financial year.Bernama
