BUMIPUTRA distributors contributed to a multi-level marketing (MLM) firm’s (under Hai-O Group) listing on the main board of Bursa Malaysia, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.
Hai-O Group managing director Tan Kai Hee was quoted saying that the existence of bumiputra and non-bumiputra distributors also improved ties between them.
“Bumiputra distributors made significant contribution to the listing of Hai-O on the main board,” Tan said during a dinner to celebrate the firm’s success.
Tan said bumiputra distributors were able to achieve impressive sales due to the MLM system and network.
“Distributors enjoy 64% of the profit and the company only takes 10% of it.
“By sharing the profit, it has enhanced the close ties between the bumiputras and non-bumiputras.
“Due to the volume, the 10% profit is a large sum for the company,” he said.
Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia president Tan Sri William Cheng complimented Hai-O for grooming bumiputra distributors and giving them a chance to become millionaires.
“We are all Malaysians and should support each other. The Chinese should capitalise on their strength and lend a helping hand to bumiputras,” he said.
